Caregivers at Little Acorns are qualified and hold loving temperaments. Part of what makes Little Acorns unique is our above average child to caregiver ratio. Generally we have six children to one teacher, which is even better than the provincial requirement. We also keep our programs to 12 children max at one time.
The smaller group settings and higher teacher to child ratio creates an optimal caring, learning and growing environment for our Little Acorns.
We are committed to providing superior education and care for all students. Our primary focus is always the well-being and best interest of the child.
Our early learning environment is play based with elements of Nature School and Montessori programming.
We believe in teaching and acting with kindness. We value nature and an environment that actively participates in the educative process.
Our approach is student-centered and individualized. This approach encourages creativity, curiosity and leads children to ask questions and to safely explore the world around them.
We believe each child is a precious and valuable individual. We want our Little Acorns to have the most enjoyable educational experiences; to feel respected and to grow to their full potential. We strive to get to know each child. We make a great effort to provide an environment rich with interesting learning opportunities that speak to their individual physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth.
With the right kind of nurture, we believe, Little Acorns will grow into Mighty Oaks.
